Ground Rules
Referees Referees are the ultimate decision makers when it comes to the competition rounds. They also keep the competition going by moving teams through the rounds with ease, smiles, and an understanding that this is tough on the kids! Consistency is critical; we will try to do our utmost to assure that all rounds are judged evenly and that any disputes are resolved with the least amount of conflict. Tagging In In order to be consistent with the some of the other CT FLL Qualifying Events and the State Championship Tagging In hockey style WILL be allowed at the Shelton Qualifying Event. Only two team members will be allowed at the table at a time, one team member must step away from the table in order for another team member to tag in. Practice Tables There will be four practice tables at the Event that will be used as part of the queuing procedure. On deck teams will be able to practice right before each competition round. The first round played will be a practice round in order to give every time the same number of practice rounds and to provide a trial run for the referees. The event venue can accommodate several additional practice fields if teams wish to bring their own. The event directors only ask that this be communicated to them ahead of time and that they allow equal access to all teams attending the event. The teams will be responsible for monitoring their tables and scheduling access to them. |
