Louis J. Schmecker Mentor Award

Besse Marra should set up a cot and blanket in our classroom because that's how much she assists us with the Robotics Club. We have 76 children in our club that is composed of magnet children as well as our inner-city middle school students. She is here for everything: registering the children, driving children home who have no transportation, distributing flyers, making phone calls, designing t-shirts, ordering supplies, working with the teams as well as her own, and training new parents in the art of volunteering. She is a whirlwind of activity and organization. WE WOULD NOT FUNCTION WITHOUT HER!! I can think of no one more deserving of this award than Besse!
